I’ve been so slack in posting recipes, but since my good friend Jenny asked me for this recipe, I decided that was the push I needed! Thank you, Jenny!
I made this amazing crust to go with a peppermint pie. I also just crushed up oreos and put them in the bottom of a parchment paper cupcake liner – and poured the pie filling over the crumbs.
But for a pie crust – you really need the butter to hold the crumbs together.
So here we go 🙂
Ingredients
- 25 whole Oreos
- 4 Tbs melted unsalted butter
Instructions
- Place Oreos in a food processor (filling and all!)
- Pulse until they have been reduced to fine crumbs
- Pour into large bowl and mix in the melted butter until well combined
- Grease a large pie pan with cooking spray
- Pour crumbs into pan, pressing up the sides, and ensuring even coverage
- Freeze 15 minutes before pouring in filling
- (You can bake for 10 minutes at 350 if you want a crispier crust, however, it's VERY crispy and therefore I prefer the unbaked crust).
