Beer Cheese Dip Recipe

This beer cheese dip was delicious with the warm baked pretzels!!!

  • 8 oz whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sliced yellow onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 oz Havarti cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 Tbs corn starch
  • 1 Tbs water
  • 1/2 cup German beer


  1. In a medium saucepan over medium high heat, combine whipping cream, onion and salt and pepper
  2. Bring to a simmer; add both types of shredded cheese and whisk until cheeses are melted
  3. Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl until combined
  4. Add this cornstarch mixture to the cheese mixture
  5. Pour in 1/2 cup beer
  6. Whisk over medium heat until sauce thickens
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Serve immediately
