Caramel Apple Bake Recipe

OMG this recipe is fabulous!  It seems complicated – but it’s not!  Serve warm with vanilla ice cream – I promise you’ll love it – and your guests will, too!

Caramel Apple Bake Recipe


  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract
  • 6 apples, various types, peeled, cored, cut into small chunks
  • 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch kosher salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking pan
  3. Crust: Mix melted butter, oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt in a large bowl until combined. Press evenly into greased pan. Bake approx 17-20 minutes or until sides start browning. Remove from oven, place on a cooling rack.
  4. Filling: Combine apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Mix until combined. Pour the caramel sauce over the apples, stir to coat. Pour evenly on top of the crust.
  5. Topping: Mix the flour, nuts, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Press small pieces out flat and place on top of the filling.
  6. Bake at 350 until caramel is bubbling and topping is browned, about 30-35 minutes.
  7. Cool an hour, serve with ice cream.
