Y’all know how much I adore my dog, Sumatra 🙂 Her birthday was the other day, and I whipped up these amazing (well, *she* thought they were amazing!) dog treats for her!
Carrot Peanut Butter Honey Dog Muffin Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease 2-12 or 1-24 mini muffin pan(s)
- Combine egg, peanut butter, oil, vanilla and honey in a large bowl, blend well
- Stir in carrots, mix thoroughly
- Sift the flour and baking soda together and fold into the carrot batter
- Spoon into the prepared muffin tins
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
- Cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto tea towel; place on rack to cool completely
