Apple Streusel Recipe

This was SOOO easy and absolutely delicious!  YUM!!!!!

Apple Streusel Recipe


  • 12 large fall apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbs cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 12 Tbs (1 1/2 sticks) cold butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup water


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease the bottom only of a small (4 cups or so) casserole dish. Peel and core the apples, slice and place in a bowl. Top with sugar, cinnamon and vanilla, toss to coat. Set aside while preparing topping.
  3. Make the streusel by cutting the cold butter into a bowl, adding flour, sugar, and cinnamon.. Use a pastry blender or clean fingers. After it resembles small pebbles, add in the oats and mix well.
  4. Put the seasoned apples into the pan, top generously with the streusel, Pour the water in around the edges of the pan.
  5. Bake at 350° about 60 minutes, and the apples are tender when pierced. The streusel will be golden brown and the apples will bubble.
