Caramelized Peaches With Brandy

Sweet peaches arrived this week in the Produce Farmers Direct box – I made yummy caramelized peaches with brandy! Here’s how to make this yourself! We loooooove peaches at my house.. This latest bountiful spread just made my day. My daughter and I both said “YUM SCRUM”!

Ingredients:

2 Tbs unsalted butter

5 cups sliced fresh peaches – I did *not* peel the peaches – I think this dish is better with the skin on the peaches

2 Tbs brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 oz brandy
Directions:

Melt butter in medium skillet over medium high heat. Add the peaches, and cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mix in the brown sugar and vanilla. Simmer for about 5 more minutes.

Stir in the brandy, simmer for about 5 more minutes, until peaches are soft and the sauce has darkened. Continue to stir!

I served warm over vanilla ice cream. You could also serve as a side dish.

They were a HUGE hit!
