I ran out of the great body scrub that I had bought @Key West Aloe on our last trip to Key West.. I don’t like the extra strong ‘smelly’ ones… I was at Ulta the other day and asked the staff to point me in the right direction for more natural smelling scrubs. One staff member showed me a Philosophy product, but it was too lotion-y, not scrub-by.. Then another staff member told me to make my own. OMG I did and it’s FABULOUS!
I used sea salt as well as regular salt. I poured in olive oil so the salt was wet, and upon resting, some olive oil gathered on top. I then put in about 5 drops of lavender essential oil (that I happened to have on hand but you can purchase from Whole Foods if you need – or buy any other aroma!) I mixed it all up and put it in a small non breakable container. It was quite the hit!! and it makes the bathroom smell spa-like and not too girly. My bathroom is spa-like already (from the renovations!) and so this is perfect!!!
