Toasted Pecan Pie Crust Recipe

I wanted a new crust for a lemon meringue pie (recipe to follow soon) that I whipped up the other day.  And this one TOTALLY fit the bill!  YUMMMY!!

Toasted Pecan Pie Crust Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbs unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Melt butter, mix with pecans and sugar. Press in pie plate.
  3. Bake approximately 12 minutes - pecans will be lightly toasted.
  4. Crust will slip down, press back up the sides.

This would be great with a chocolate pie or a key lime as well 🙂
