Pecan Pie

My Mom adored pecan pie – her all time favorite.  I thought I’d post this recipe in her honor.  I used to bake the pies, and wrap them up tightly and SHIP them to her 🙂

I love this recipe as it’s not overly sweet – uses brown sugar instead of corn syrup!

Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 heaping cup pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Beat the eggs. Add all the remaining ingredients and pour into pie shell.
  3. Bake at 325 for 40-45 minutes.
