My daughter can gobble up this entire pan of Peppermint Bark in no time – she doesn’t share it!

Peppermint Bark Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 oz milk chocolate chips
  • 12 oz white chocolate bark or chips
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • red food coloring (optional)
  • 5-6 unwrapped, crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Cover a large jelly roll pan or baking sheet (one with sides) with aluminum foil, shiny side up.
  2. Place milk chocolate chips in microwaveable bowl, heat for 30 seconds. Stir well, heat again 30 seconds. Stir well. Continue this until chips are almost melted. Then stir well until smooth. Mix in 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
  3. Pour onto foil covered sheet, spread out fairly thin. Chill for 15 minutes.
  4. Place white chocolate chips in microwaveable bowl, heat for 30 seconds. Stir well, heat again 30 seconds. Stir well. Continue this until chips are almost melted. Then stir well until smooth. Mix in 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
  5. Pour on top of milk chocolate, spread to cover.
  6. Drop 6-8 drops of red food coloring over the white chocolate, draw a fork thru it to make it look pretty!
  7. Immediately pour smashed candy canes over the top, pressing in with hands or pancake turner.
  8. Chill about 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from the foil and break into pieces.
  10. Store in sealed container in a cool place.
