amazing tilapiaWe *always* cook tilapia on the grill, but I decided to try something different tonight!
Preheat oven to 300

4 (4-5oz) tilapia filets
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp seafood seasoning (like Old Bay)
2 Tbs olive oil
2 Tbs unsalted butter
1 tsp minced garlic
2 Tbs lemon juice

Rinse filets in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides of each filet with salt and pepper. Pour flour and seafood seasoning into shallow pan and combine. Press each side of the tilapia into the flour mixture to coat. Shake off excess.

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Cook the tilapia in the olive oil for about 4 minutes per side, til it flakes easily with a fork.

Place tilapia on a baking sheet that is lined with a paper grocery bag and keep warm in the oven..

Turn down the heat in the pan the tilapia was cooked in. Add the butter. Let the butter melt, add the garlic and lemon juice. Saute for 2 minutes.

Place the tilapia on a serving platter, drizzle the sauce all over the top.

My family just LOVED this fish! I did, too 🙂

Enjoy!
