The most amazing crab dip you have ever had… AKA Crap Dip

I found this recipe somewhere years ago. I started making it and tweaked it repeatedly thru the years. Funny thing is – I sent the recipe out to a group of friends – and accidentally typed “Crap” dip instead of Crab Dip. From then on – it’s been forever known as “Jane’s Crap Dip”.. LOL

Here you go!

Hot Crab and Cheese Dip
1 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 T. finely chopped white onion
3 Tbsp milk
dash garlic powder
1/2-1 tsp prepared horseradish (I use 1 tsp but use less if you aren’t a horseradish fan!)
1 4 1/2 oz can lump crab meat, rinsed and drained
3/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese or more depending on how cheesy you
like it… Make sure you use FRESH grated – I use a microplanar.

Combine cream cheese, milk, onion, horseradish, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Fold in crab meat. Spoon into lightly greased 2 cup baking dish. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese… YUMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

This is the most amazing dip.. I serve it with toasted rounds that I get from a local Whole Foods or Fresh Market.
